Screwfix — Weather-Based Email Campaigns
This case study outlines my design and build work for Screwfix email campaigns, focusing on severe weather communications to drive customer engagement and sales.
My role
Contracted as a Web & UX Designer to cover maternity leave. Responsible for maintaining website design, creating campaign pages, and designing and building responsive HTML emails.
The challenge
The goal was to create innovative email campaigns that capitalised on extreme weather events. The campaigns needed to be timely, visually engaging, and highly functional across browsers, email clients, and mobile devices. The most successful campaigns were proactive and post-event weather emails.
The approach
The weather-based email campaigns promoted relevant Screwfix products aligned with severe weather alerts. Each design adhered to Screwfix’s existing branding and coding standards while passing rigorous deliverability tests across multiple platforms.
The campaigns included Flooding, Storm Winds, and Snow & Ice emails, designed to be sent both before and after severe weather events. This approach drove engagement and sales, proving highly effective for the client.
